What I Loved ❤️

• Millie’s Character: I absolutely loved Millie! She’s tough, smart, and resourceful, even when things get really creepy. There’s something so relatable about her—she’s flawed but fiercely determined. Freida McFadden writes her in such a way that you can’t help but root for her, even when she’s in some seriously sketchy situations.
• Unpredictable Twists: Just when I thought I had everything figured out, BAM! A twist would hit, and I’d be back to square one, questioning everything. McFadden is a master of suspense, and she kept me guessing until the very end.
• The Atmosphere: The way the author creates a sense of unease in the Douglas house is brilliant. You can practically feel the tension in every chapter. The house itself becomes a character, and the secrets it holds are chilling.

• Some Predictability: While the twists were jaw-dropping, there were a couple of moments where I could kind of see what was coming. But honestly, even when I thought I knew what would happen, McFadden still managed to throw in some curveballs.
